I wanted to re-post this blog post I had read because I thought it was very insightful and prompted reflection.
The post uses the trolley car ethics example which is essentially a hypothetical situation in which you find yourself at a lever near a trolley track as a trolley comes. Ahead of the trolley are two tracks, one with five people tied to it that the trolley is currently barreling towards, or another track that has one person tied to it, the lever will change the direction of the trolley towards the one, the ethical question is, do you pull the lever to save the five and sacrifice the one?
