The author, Shane Flaherty, is an Economics student at the University of Southern Maine who is passionate about having the most crucial conversations regarding political economic concerns such as the well-being of the environment and global citizens. Additionally, we will focus on the ethics and morals tied to US Capitalist Exceptionalism, with a philosophical approach. This blog will focus on these issues and any economic or personal pursuits I feel like sharing.
Outside of my academic career I work in the aerospace industry and enjoy a plethora of other hobbies including video games (primarily Oldschool Runescape and some indie games currently), reading (I’m a massive Stephen King fan and am working on a tattoo sleeve with that subject), hiking and spending time outdoors, playing Dungeons & Dragons (I’m a DM!), and spending time with my beloved partner, our two cats, and our dog.
